The group companies also share their respective technologies. All the design phases are planned and subject to periodic checks, to keep the development of the new products under control and to check their suitability with respect to markets. A fundamental element for efficient research is care in collecting data during the phases of checking and inspection. To continuously monitor the manufacturing processes, each site has an in-house laboratory.

Numerous tests check the suitability of the materials used with respect to hardness, roughness and chemical composition; their penetrability by liquids is also ascertained. Tensile stress and compression tests and exemplary tests on the quality of the gears, painting and treatments are carried out. The instruments measuring materials are also subject to continuous calibration tests. Tests are also carried out on dimensional measures; for these, all the Group companies have metrological rooms. There is always great attention to solutions of development that are compatible with the environment: research pursues energy saving, recyclable materials and paints with a low environmental impact are used. Accurate controls are also made in the phase of choosing the motors, which must respect the severest regulations on sound and smoke emission.
